Definitely one of the best claypot restaurants that I've tried! This restaurant was introduced to me through a friend and I must say there hasn't been a day that I've been disappointed. Not only that the lines are usually pretty short so you don't really have to wait at all for you food.
We ordered three pots - Taishan Yellow Eel Claypot, Preserved Chinese Sauage, Pork & Duck Claypot and the Taishan Salted Chicken. The flavor of the meat is thoroughly infused within the rice, so there is never a dull moment within the dishes. Also, a side of soup is served with the dishes. The soup is a bit flavorless but it is a great balance with the claypots and a good start to the meal. Would definitely recommend! -

More meat please. If you like rice, they give you a big pot of it. In the Richmond dist, this is the place I come for comfort food. I do enjoy their rice Claypot dishes but they still don't give enough meat. Sometimes they forget to give you the side of braised lettuce. I'm not adventurous enough to try their eel rice Claypot but I do see construction workers ordering it. I especially like their salted Taishan chicken but didn't get it this time. Hubby's fav is the pork spare rib rice Claypot.
It's not a fancy place to eat but it's pretty popular amongst the working class folks. -

The best claypot rice in San Francisco. Rice has nice texture and has great toppings. There are 4 different sizes of claypot rice from one person to large claypot that serves 4 to 6 people. Price of claypot rice range from $13 for one person to $45/48 (with eel) for 4 to 6 persons. By the way, the soup that comes with uses great ingredient and is delicious.

Quite good. Came here on a Mon night and the place was fortunately quite empty. They have a great menu of claypots and soups here. SO and I got the sausage claypot with some chicken soup and some veggies of the day.
We ended up getting the soup because no one gave us the free soup appetizer? The soup we ended up getting was great, but just made the end meal pricier than I expected.
The clay pot was extremely tasty - love how crispy the bottom rice chunks were, and the flavor was quite good with all the ingredients. The chicken soup we got was also delicious as well.
All in all, very decent claypot. For two people with three dishes, the total cost was $50 which feels high... but there was enough clay pot for us to take home as leftovers. -

Despite the unremarkable appearance of this restaurant, it offers very authentic Cantonese meal experience. Claypot is a Cantonese dish that is traditionally made with sausage and a special sauce for which each restaurant has its own recipe. This particular restaurant has a very flavorful recipe for its sauce and there are also a variety of choices for the main ingredient that goes into the rice (the classic one, for example, has chicken in addition to Cantonese sausage). Aside from the claypot I also really like the complementary soup served in the beginning that was made with winter melon. For someone who is looking for a tasty but not super fancy restaurant this place would be a perfect match.
